Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. Matthew Matt James is the is the son of Manny James and Patty James of mixed race. He is a Nigerian mother, and an American caucasian father. In 2010 he graduated in Sanderson High School and furthered into Wake Forest University where he completed a bachelor's in economics in 2015. James gained fame after he appeared on screen for his debut on the reality television star during The Bachelorette. James was picked in 2020 to play the role of the new bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, being the show's first African American male star. The show debuted later in that year. James is a great fit to play the role because is tall, beautiful and funny. Rachael Krakconnell was the one was his girlfriend for the rest of the season. He teamed up with popular dancer Arnold for the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold came in 12th place.
